Sassy is a female 3 1/2 year old Boxer/Bulldog mix. She has been at Sequoia Humane Society since June 2007. She is house-trained and grew up around children of 7 years and older. She needs a home where she has plenty of room to run and play fetch with you. She will alert you when there strangers present and would require a tall secure fence and to be the only female dog in the household. She has been through obedience training and know sit, stay, down, and not to pull on the leash. Buddy is a 2-year old male Mastiff/Rottweiler mix. He has been with SHS since June 2007. He is a friendly and loving guy that loves to play. He enjoys the companionship of other dogs and also grew up with cats. He would love to you be your buddy! (P.S. Buddy is a very large dog who may be a big overpowering for small children.) He has recently underwent one rear hip surgery and is recovering nicely. Once this hip is fully recovered, he will have surgery on his other rear hip. Gaia is a young at heart senior female Australian cattle dog mix. She has been at SHS since May 2007. She loves to play with her toys, have her back scratched, give kisses and just hang out. Gaia is a very sweet and loving dog that would prefer to be in a single dog household as she is an alpha dog and is way too interested in playful kitties. She is full of life and would really like a home of her own. Gaia has Completed obedience training and listens to commands very well. Feather is an affectionate, energetic 2 1/2 year old Shepherd mix. She is developing her confidence. She will do best in an adult (or with children over 10 years old) home where she can be someone's constant companion. She would love a nice sofa to stretch out on and a big yard, with at least a 6 foot fence, to play fetch in. Cayenne is an 8-month old male young Terrier mix. He was originally from Del Norte County. He is working on trusting new people. Once he gets to know you, he is friendly, especially if you have treats! He is a just a little guy that needs the proper home that understands his needs. Zoe is a young Alaskan Malamute & Rottweiler mixed female. She is playful with other animals, can be unsure with some cats, but wants to play. She is friendly with strangers, but a little too active for young children. She enjoys playing with stuffed animals and swimming. In her previous home Zoe liked sleeping in her bed indoors. Penny is a 9 1/2-year old female Lhasa Apso. Originally, Penny was brought in as a stray/abandoned animal, but later we found out that her "daddy" passed away and her "mommy" is currently in an assisted living situation. She was given to a mutual friend of a person who resided at the same place where the owners were living and they couldn’t keep her. Penny just adores people, talking to them and just being close. She likes to ride in cars and go on walks. She would do best in a home with an older person or couple because that is all she has ever known in her life. She does seem to be a little nervous abound larger dogs, but loves dogs her own size. She did live with a cat and seems quite eager to make friends with kitties. a05545794 (7-29-08)

Brandy is a female Pharaoh Hound/Chinese Shar-pei mixed puppy. She is very eager to be pet, but has a laid back way about her. She enjoys playing with toys and doesn't seem to bark. She came to us because her owner's landlord wouldn't allow a dog. We do encourage obedience training with all puppies to ensure better companions. Brandy is very sweet and loving disposition.
